Projects
Philmont
I went out to Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, NM for a 14-day Order of the Arrow Trail Crew trek including service projects, trail-building, backpacking, and wilderness survival.
Resonate Forward
I worked on a research project to develop wearable devices for Parkinson's patients to help with tremors and freezing of gait. You can watch the NBC story here, or read the UDaily article here.
Eagle Scout
I led a 225 man hour eagle scout project at the Medal of Honor Grove, restoring the Nevada & Kentucky acres. You can see more here.
Custom Desktop
This is my personal desktop rig that I built. It's running an i7-4790k, 16GB RAM, a GTX 1080, and a 1TB NVMe boot drive. The system has 480mm of total radiator space which keeps everything cool.
Junior Design
I designed and built a wearable monitor for harmful environmental conditions. It monitors UV light, VOCs, temperature, humidity, sound level, and magnetic fields.
Real Random
I was one of the Co-Founders of Real Random, LLC. Real Random specializes in Non-Deterministic Random Bit Generation. We have developed a way to capture entropy from unpredictable physical sources.
Autonomous Drones
I won the 2017 UD ECE Autonomous Drone Competition, where we had to program a Raspberry Pi to fly a DJI Matrice 100 drone through a course start to finish with no human intervention. You can read the article here.
Electric Vehicles
I was the president of the Electric Vehicle Club at UD, working on building an electric FSAE car. The car has a 35kW 3-phase AC motor, and a 148V lithium-ion battery pack capable of driving 500A peak current.
Mini Bike
This is the crazy mini bike I built. It's a kit frame with a Harbor Freight Predator 212 engine with upgraded carburetor jet, emulsion tube, intake, exhaust, and 8 degrees of timing advance. The top speed is ~35 mph.
